Shamwow is a liquid absorbing cloth (chamois) supposedly made in Germany. Claims made by the Shamwow company include the following: holds 21 times its weight in liquid, machine washable, cleans up spills fast, lasts for years, and will not scratch the surfaces.

This product works well. We have leaky pipes and this product works better than towels or paper towels at absorbing water. When our washing machine flooded Shamwows made the cleanup so much faster.

We received ShamWow as a Christmas present. It absorbs water, but not as fast or as well as shown on TV. It is comparable to an absorbant cloth, IMO. One thing that the commercial doesn’t mention is that, even though you can wash the cloth, you can’t dry it in a clothes dryer. This is inconvenient. For the money, I would invest in absorbant cloths that can be washed and dried.
